3/4 cup green tea (or other liquid)
7 cuties
large handful baby spinach
2 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
1 banana
Put all ingredients into blender in order listed. Blend until smooth.
My oldest son didn't like this one (he has an aversion to banana sometimes), so I will make it next time with a few more cuties and no banana.

Why a Smoothie Rainbow?
My kids are not big fans of the vegetable. My oldest used to be, but we ruined his palate (long story). My youngest has a number of food intolerances but otherwise is pretty willing to at least try most things. Try and then reject. ;)
But I still want them to eat healthfully. What to do?
Green* smoothies!! (*green, in this case, doesn't always refer to color but is meant as a general statement that these are good for you because they are fruit AND veggie smoothies)
So I have set out to develop a nutritious, health-promoting, vibrant, beautiful rainbow of smoothies so that over the course of drinking the rainbow, my kids and I are filling our bodies up with some of the healthy foods best suited to helping us be stronger, better, faster than before.
I also plan to develop seasonal smoothies so that you can use this blog as a guide to drinking in-season smoothies as well so that your smoothie packs the biggest nutritional wallop--and fabulous flavor!--possible, no matter the time of year.
